How Do I Check My Web – SEO Consultant. The Checklist.

“I just paid for my new website”. “What are the questions I need to ask my consultant to make sure they are doing what they said they were going to do?”

Here is the TR2 SEO Checklist; you can answer these with our Free Website Analysis Tool. The checklist is ordered by “level of importance” (in our opinion) An explanation of each item is included.
  • Title Tag – It’s the Title Tag text that Google displays on top of the listing.

  • Permalink Structure – The web pages name after the URL. Make them descriptive.

  • Meta Description – It’s the Meta Description that Google displays below the URL on a listing.

  • Unique Content – Your content should be unique. Google will capture duplicate content.
  • JavaScript & CSS External – These are hard to do without totally. They do slow you down.
  • Content Keyword – Even though Google is no longer using keywords in SEO algorithms, keywords are still a good organizational practice for developing your long-tail keywords and key phrases.
  • Mobile Friendliness – Google Ranks based partially on Google-friendliness.
  • Image Alt Tags – Every Image should have an ALT attribute.
  • Anchor Text – Labels places you can Deep Link from the outside.
  • Privacy Statement – Yes
  • Website Map / Structure – Helps the Search Bots find everything.
  • Social Media Sharing Buttons – This does not need an explanation
  • Heading Tag – organization of Importance on a webpage.
  • Internal Linking – Gets to more information quick. Google considers these as helpful to the user.
  • Page Load Time – Almost all commercial providers (ISPs) are fast enough. Make sure your images are web optimized.
  • Content-Length – Appropriate to the subject,
  • Linking Out to Relevant Resources – Relevance out just like relevance in.
  • Ensure NO Spam Tactics – No purchased backlinks.
